HAYWARD – The Bay 6 League championship, as well as the top seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs, will once again be decided in the final week between No. 1 state-ranked City College of San Francisco and rival No. 5 College of San Mateo.
The Rams are set to play at CSM in both teams' regular-season finale next Saturday (Nov. 11) at College Heights Stadium. Kick off is set for 1 p.m.
Both teams head into the contest with identical 4-0 records in Bay 6 games. CSM was a 62-7 winner over San Joaquin Delta College on Saturday. The win improved the Bulldogs to 8-1.
CCSF is a perfect 9-0 after its 59-6 victory at Chabot. The Rams dominates the Gladiators on both sides of the ball. The San Francisco offense matched its second-highest yard total this season with 651 while the defense allowed just 78 yards.
The Rams led 28-0 at halftime after Dorian Hale tossed the first four of his five TDs in the contest. Max Rodarte hauled in a pair of touchdowns for 39 and 7 yards to make it 14-0. Hassan Mahasin grabbed a 14-yard TD and Tyrei Washington was on the receiving end of a 7-yard TD just before halftime.
On the Rams opening drive of the third quarter, Hale connected with Jeremiah Crum for a huge 60-yard TD to extend the lead to 35-0.
Chabot took advantage of the CCSF fumble to score a TD to break up the shutout at the 8:33 mark in the third.
From that point, the Rams turned to the running game. Nathan Iskander ran in a pair of short TDs (5, 1 yards) and Teddy Booras busted in for a 4-yard touchdown. Joseph Oliveira added a 35-yard field goal to close out the CCSF scoring.
On defense, the Rams sacked Chabot quarterbacks five times and forced a pair of fumbles. Jalen Camp totaled 5 tackles and forced a fumble. K'aun Green, Nelson Ropati, Kylan Fontes, Joey Lealao, and Simeon Mitchell all came up with sacks.
Hale put up another solid game, passing for 363 yards with 5 TDs. He completed 20 of 27 passes with no interceptions.
Crum had 4 receptions for 109 yards and a TD while Rodarte caught 4 passes for 73 and 2 touchdowns. On the ground, Iskander had 9 carries for 59 yards and 2 TDs.
